dyer didnt pass to him all game - and that game was unbeleivable it seriosuly was possibly the most frustrating game ive been to in 10 years - excluding the bowyer incident we'd had 3 of the most blatant pens turned down, hendrie was hacking all over the place, we got a player sent off, 2 penalties against us, one of whch was outside the box!!!! yes what bowyer did was stupid. understandable though. he took it out dyer because theyd been arguing all game, i saw them arguing earlier, then dyer said something, bowyer cracked i really believe they are mates again |

Toon Army - serious question: do you think Bowyer would do a good job for BCFC next season? You may view us as a 'smaller' club but we do have ambitions for Europe and some top quality players (when fit) and so would Bowyer help us achieve that? For example, in your opinion would he fit into a midfield of: Pennant BOWYER (defensive midfielder) Dunn? Cheers? |

No the topic is not closed. I also think it is shameful for the club to be criticising the fans simply for voicing their opinion. We're not talking about crowd trouble or abuse with this 'small minority' (not half as small as they make out though), we're talking about a PETITION. A dignified, democratic form of protest. And to the guy (on another thread) who said he signed the petition but wouldn't have if he knew they were gonna show it to the press -what are you talking about??? What is the point of a petition if you don't present it to the public or the board??? It's a PETITION, not a vote or a vox pop. Let's get things straight, whether you agree with it or not, it is abundantly clear that both sides have the argument have the interests of the club at heart. For those who want Bowyer, including SB and the board, they put signing a quality player for cheap ahead of everything else. Those who voted 'NO' are guilty only of thrying to protect the club's morale fibre and integrity. We should be PROUD that we are now at a stage where a sizeable group of fans will protest against signing a violent and 'allegedly' racist player, despite his obvious playing talent. Not so long ago such protests would more likely have been because the player was black, not because he was perceived as racist. I know he was not convicted but he has a HISTORY of been involved in such situations. (remember the attack on asian youths that came out post-trial, which he had previously been involved in?) More importantly, his REPUTATION alone is such that we should steer clear. Brum is a mutli-ethnic city, and I am proud of that and it disgusts me (yes Brucie, i'm "disgusted" too) that the club are will to jepardise our positive work in refecting that for the sake of signing a decent (in the footballing sense) player. Lastly, I'm concerned by the lack of diversity of opinin on the board and strongly suggest that ceratin voices have been censored by the board and the administrators of this board. A few weeks back I raised a thread questioning aspects of the propsed new stadium. The next day the thread had mysteriously 'disappeared'. Are we the fans not allowed a say in club matters. All I ask is for open debate. Look, I've posted over 100 times - I, and the 'NO' voters clearly have the best interests of the club at heart. |

yes i agree that they have the club's interests at heart, but he shouldnt be ruled out straight away. he has been plagued throughout his life. He wants to get on with his life, it just isnt fair to go on how bad he is. Give him a chance, otherwise he may never change as many people believe |
